Pegula volta a passear e marca duelo com Svitolina no US Open
Jessica Pegula, número três do Mundo e uma das esperanças locais para ver uma norte-americana volta a ganhar o US Open, qualificou-se esta quinta-feira ao final da noite para a terceira ronda em Nova Iorque, ao voltar a ceder apenas quatro jogos, tal como tinha acontecido na primeira ronda.
Desta feita, a ‘vítima’ foi a romena Patrícia Tig, que está fora do top 700 e a tentar voltar ao ténis depois de muitos problemas físicos e pessoais, com um triunfo claro por 6-3 e 6-1, num encontro resolvido em pouco mais de uma hora, que Pegula controlou totalmente.
