Stearns resistiu a tie-break de terceiro set com Osaka: «Só estava a tentar não vomitar»
Peyton Stearns fez das tripas coração para bater Naomi Osaka rumo aos quartos-de-final do WTA 1000 de Roma. A norte-americana sofreu muito para resistir no tie-break do terceiro set e confessou que foi mesmo ao limite, logo depois de virar o 4-2 no desempate para vencer por 7-4.
“No tie-break só estava a tentar não vomitar no meio do court. Não me estava a sentir no meu melhor. Escavei muito fundo. Acho que não lutava tanto há muito tempo”, confessou Stearns.

“I think in the tiebreak I was just trying not to throw up in the middle of the court. I wasn’t feeling the best. I dug deep. I don’t think I’ve dug that deep in a while.”
