Coric emocionado após semana de luxo: «Estou orgulhoso, mas hoje levei uma lição»

Borna Coric, de 21 anos, viveu esta semana no Masters 1000 de Xangai a melhor semana da sua carreira. O croata, que vai subir ao 13.º posto do ranking ATP, bateu dois top 5 — Juan Martín Del Potro e Roger Federer — a caminho da final do maior torneio da Ásia, antes de perder com Novak Djokovic na grande final.

No final, estava emocionado com a sua semana. “Estou orgulhoso ao olhar para trás e ver os encontros que joguei e ganhei. Adorei cada segundo e senti o apoio incrível dos fãs, que a tantos quilómetros da minha casa me fizeram sentir em casa”.

Coric admitiu a superioridade do rival. “Hoje levei uma bela lição de ténis. Espero ter aprendido com ela para que não se repita no futuro. Mas joguei muito bem e saio daqui com um resultado 100 vezes melhor do que esperava…”

谢谢上海 What a week. I am proud to look back on the matches I played and won. Every second on the court was a joy and the support I felt from the fans played a big roll in all of this. Today I gave everything I had, tried to turn the momentum till the last point, but on the other side was one of the biggest champions this game has had, @djokernole Congrats on the win, you deserved it.
